Fuzimagic and Tarot insights! What a night!

Photography by Choy Hui Nee (c) 2008

When the Universe actively brings a group of people together, miracles are born. This is exactly the experience that was created during the Fuzimagic Entrepreneur Moments & Tarot Mystique Night at Soulstudio on October 18, 2008. Each participant that attended this sharing session was placed there to fulfill their dreams. And the purpose of this seminar turned out to be the forming of a platform where dots are connected to bring together people, ideas and innovations.

Fuzi Hanim was dynamic, inspiring and sincere in recounting her stories and lessons that left the participants feeling edified and empowered. With 30 years of experience in the building and construction industry, a gung ho woman steadfastly making her mark in a male-dominated field, she is also a spiritualist who is building bridges of goodwill all over the world. Thus creating peace and unity is the motto that pervaded the entire session.

Adding on a little bit of mystical flavour, I conducted a group Tarot reading activity for all of the participants. Each participant drew a card and I helped to interpret its meaning and significance for him or her. Nevertheless each card also applies to the entire group because we were in the session together. We also built a Medicine Wheel of World Peace, a sacred and ancient prayer circle.

But the most amazing thing that occurred is that the sharing event was highly interactive whereby every one put forth their opinions and helped each other to achieve their goals by giving suggestions and also shaping the possibilities of working together. Tell me if this meeting was not Divine-made?

It is my most sincere aspiration that as human beings, we are able to inspire, empower and liberate each other and ourselves; to love and protect our beloved Mother Earth. And I believe that through this seminar, seeds have been planted and wheels are turning. Fuzi and I would like to thank the Divine, all the participants and supporters who have made this seminar possible. Actually, the session is all about you! Let’s create and manifest together. Blessed be. Om Shanti.

Power Animal Oracle Readings

October 20 & 21, 2008

Bear came and Blue Heron came.

Both Brothers Bear and Blue Heron teach the medicine of introspection and stillness. The big fury bear is active both day and night telling us that we must integrate both our analytical skills and intuition. The solar power represents logical strength and the moon is one of intuitive prowess. It is imperative that we develop both from within. Of course we hear this very often but the question is how can we do it? How do we make practical what is abstract?

The great water bird, Brother Heron says one is to be quiet for answers to emerge from inside. This means when we don’t over analyze or get too emotional over a particular situation, then very naturally we are able to handle everything comfortably. There are many ways to quiet ourselves. One method is through meditation like Brother Heron who stands at rest and motionless, we too bring to a halt all mental and emotional activities. We pay attention to our feelings and thoughts noticing how an initial thought influences the way we feel. What we feel demonstrates the way we respond to the world outside of us. Thus when our emotions and thoughts are not in constant battle, we see only harmony and synergy.

Brothers Bear and Blue Heron remind us that it is not enough to just always stick to one interpretation of who we think we are. To some self-discovery is totally a waste of time because they don’t wish to think so much while to some it is mandatory. And of course in between these two extremes, there are uncountable variations stretching across this vast shapeless space. Is there a correct answer? Perhaps we should realize that at certain points in life we resonate with a particular variation and when what needs to be done is completed, we move on. So the process of introspection is not one that is akin to ascending a ladder. We may move up and down, left and right or in any direction that harmonizes with our growth. So when we feel that we are moving down, Brother Bear says that it is time to rely on ourselves, just as he relies on his body fat to survive during the period of hibernation. You are your own master. And so it is.

Blessings on our journey. Aho!

Spiritual Language of Communication – Like Snow and Fire

The gentleness of his hand caressed her skin. It was soft, like pressing your fingers against moisturized silk. She lifted him in the air and said, “My son! You are so beautiful.”

Have you ever thought that we can’t describe how soft is soft, without making reference to another object? We tend to make comparisons. We have touched the softness and tenderness of a baby’s hand but we can’t explain what kind of softness is that; unless we metaphorically relate it to another object that we have touched too. Maybe this is poetry. A fair maiden is akin to being white as snow. A voluptuous lady runs wild like a red hot flame. These could be ideas that have been fed to us since we are children. The books that we read, stories that we hear, conversations that we pick up from others, observations that we made about man and nature and movies that we watch, all influence our thoughts.

When we see a person or an object like a tree, we actually don’t see a tree or for that matter, the person. We see memories, ideas and metaphors that we have inherited. We see a tree and a name comes to mind. “Oh! It is an oak tree.” Perhaps it could stir a bad memory of crashing one’s car in to a tree. It may invoke a feeling of a long lost first love whereby underneath the shades of the tree, it was a romantic hideaway for two.

When we see a face, we immediately label it. “She looks motherly. She reminds me of a bulldog. I hate him. He resembles my dad. Oh my god! I thought he was Brad Pitt!”

The mind is constantly attaching values, meanings and labels to everything and everyone because we are trained this way. We must have an answer to all questions. I suspect it is partly instigated by our desire for certainty and security. What we don’t know and can’t understand, is referred to as being bad. If we can’t find a meaning and reason within our very own private vocabulary as to why the man across the street performs his prayer in a particular way, more so when our limited understanding of spirituality dictates that there is only one version of the divine, we label our estranged neighbour evil.

The problem is that we always make comparisons and that is not the intention of poetry and religion. When a poet writes “The enchanting maiden is white as snow”, he means that the essence of the woman and the snow is the same; pure and innocent. It is a feeling that calls from the heart not a point of reference to be intellectualized. It means she is the snow and the snow is her. We must go beyond the original meaning of the words. Just like when we read any suggested divine and holy texts, we must go beyond the words and seek its true fundamental nature.

When a poet writes, he does not write about a woman that reminds him of snow. Neither is he comparing a woman to the snow nor is he saying that the touch of a new born baby is like touching silk. What he wishes to express is that the woman and the snow are the same. The baby and the silk are the same. Touching both makes him happy. Because when you compare, one is always better than the other. The woman is better than the snow. If you compare Tom and Harry, one is better than the other even when the mouth does not say it; the action of judging betrays all hidden agenda.

To accept a person and an object for what they are is the most difficult task ever to reach mankind. When it is to come naturally it has mutated in to a laborious chore. Maybe we are not aware that we are all connected to the same roots; well, perhaps the same consciousness. Like snow and flames, they are merely description and not the element itself.
Blessings on our journey. Aho!
