Seal came and Dolphin came.
Both of our very dear friends Brothers Seal and Dolphin are marine mammals that are often seen performing at water parks and the zoo. They are highly intelligent animals and are able to perform with much versatility. They can stay in the water for a long time but will still emerge to catch a breath of air with ease. Today they are here to show us that we have many concerns that are lodged in our subconscious minds that are basically running our lives. Just as they dive under water, which symbolically reflect the subconscious mind, resurfacing on the water means we are actively re-working the ideals and concepts that have been taught to us since young.
The programming of our subconscious mind began since we are a baby. We look upon the teachings of our parents and guardians as the absolute truth and we don’t question or dare to challenge their authority. If their belief is that man or woman cannot be trusted, we may grow up not being able to fully trust the opposite gender. This type of “belief-wiring” occurs at the most subtle level without our ever realizing that it is creating our entire reality. We go through life believing that life is hard or money is everything and there is no other workable interpretation. And thus we may do everything solely for remuneration, we attach a price to our relationships with people and friendship becomes a business transaction.
Brothers Seal and Dolphin tell us that there is nothing wrong with the beliefs taught by our parents, society and our schools. It is not for us to judge because they are merely teaching and imparting what they know best and probably would have worked very well for them. But there will come a time when we need to dive out of the water and examine whether these beliefs and world views actually represent who we are.
Do bear in mind dear friends that we are the creators of our beliefs. Our beliefs don’t own us. We can always re-program our subconscious mind from experiencing life as hard to life is beautiful if we are willing to free ourselves from sentimentality and emotional bondage. And once we untangle these knots from the depths of the sea, we can build a life that mirrors our heart’s truest purpose. And so it is.
Blessings on our journey. Aho!
